IV. RELATIONSHIPS A. Philanthropy Philanthropy is an effort or act of good will to help others by performing a direct service to people or organizations or by raising money for a worthy cause. Philanthropy is an opportunity for all of us to live our Kappa values. Kappa members believe that philanthropy — or mutual helpfulness — is an important value. Raise awareness of the needs of others by participating in local campus and community philanthropy events, monetarily contributing to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation and supporting our national partner, Reading Is Fundamental. The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Every alumnae association is encouraged to make a donation to the Foundation each fiscal year. The Foundation relies on the loyalty and support of chapters, associations and individual members through contributions to fund Kappa’s educational programs, scholarships, financial aid and preservation of Kappa heritage.
